About me
I’ve learned the most from the people I’ve worked with.
I’m Travis, a UX and product designer in Chicago. For the past twelve years, I’ve worked across agency and in-house teams. I’m usually somewhere between a complicated problem and the people trying to make sense of it.
I do a lot of work in design systems and research, especially on products with complicated rules or a lot of people involved. I like working closely with engineers and bringing user feedback into decisions early.
I’ve learned a lot from coworkers over the years, and I value those relationships. I ask questions, share ideas early, and try to make the work something the whole team can stand behind.
How I work
I like bringing people into the work early.
I treat product, engineering, and marketing as design partners, not just reviewers. Bringing cross-functional teams in early gives everyone a chance to shape the work before it feels finished.
